About

Berthing Place, Earthing Space is an atmospheric installation of illuminated plumes of fog-filled bubbles that float heavenly to eventually descend, burst and disappear. This mesmerising work conjures transitory moments inspired by the natural phenomena of our seas, skies and earth; from sea vents, coral spawning, clouds reforming and volcanic eruptions, birds flocking, insects swarming, leaves, seeds and snowflakes swirling and falling.

Standing as a shape shifting monument of ecological wonder and warning in a shared dream space, the artists contemplate our place within these ecological rhythms made palpable. The installation extends the visual experience through an evocative music-scape that grounds and extends the present moment. This atmospheric installation offers a galaxy of ideas for audiences to contemplate.
