Fringe Festival 2021 - Art Unbound Award

We’re excited to continue to partner with Melbourne Fringe Festival to present the Artist Development Award for ‘Art Unbound’. This award celebrates the achievement of emerging artists who are experimenting with presentation models, challenging audience expectation and innovating with technology.

In 2020 the Art Unbound Award was given to performance artist Marcus McKenzie for ‘The Crying Room’. The work was a live zoom theatre performance that surprised audiences with its intimate and experimental storytelling, a standout performance during a challenging time when audiences were experiencing isolation during state-wide lockdowns.

We can’t wait to experience what this year’s Fringe Artists have in store for us!
