Experimenta Social
at Melbourne Art Week 2018

Fri 3 Aug 2018, 6PM – 9PM

Experimenta Social is a monthly program of artist talks, tech demos and networking for people who work and play in art, digital media, technology and design. The event combines some of Australia’s most adventurous contemporary artists, researchers and creative technologists with activated audiences for lively debate, demos and discussion.

Join us for a special Melbourne Art Week Experimenta Social, presented in partnership with Testing Grounds, and experience the best in Melbourne’s experimental arts practice.

Art collective QueerTech.io and artists Susannah Williams and Warren Armstrong will have new works installed throughout the Testing Grounds’ open creative labs, allowing you to immerse yourself in real-time virtual works through 3D scanning and VR technology. Stick around into the evening for a wintery art party and enjoy drinks by the firepits, with a musical performance by Kelp D/Jay.

This event is presented in partnership with Experimenta Media Arts & Testing Grounds, supported by Marc Besen AC and Eva Besen AO.
